Amaguru Jackline Olanya
Project participant in Uganda
Amaguru Jackline Olanya is hails from war-torn Acholi in northern Uganda. She is a year three student of Social Work and Social Administration at Makerere University, Kampala.
She loves writing prose and for radio. Besides being in the process of documenting the 20-year-old war, she writes human interest stories for a number of local publications and teaches creative writing to children in Northern Uganda through her Mentor Me project.
In her free time, she loves to 'hang out' with friends, travel, play field hockey, read detective novels or historical documentaries. She also loves music: gospel R&B, jazz or raga.
