Radiophonics

 *

Radiophonics is an online creative writing project focussing on writing for radio.

One of the first radio broadcasts goes on air in Uganda. The series brought African writing to a brand new audience

One of the first radio broadcasts goes on air in

Uganda.

The original online workshop ran from 16 - 26 October 2006 with writers from Uganda. Two mentors and eight participants developed a series of short stories for the radio on the Crossing Borders website interactive area. The stories were then featured by a local radio station and podcast on this site during 2007. In 2008 the Ugandan Radiophonics project will concentrate on producing teaching materials based on their stories. The Writing for Radio workshops will take place in Nigeria with participants who have been selected by competition in January/February 2008.
